• The earpiece speakers are extremely sensitive, and do not require much audio drive from your transceiver. With a frequency response of 60 Hz to 12 kHz, these earpieces yield very low distortion, and the entire boomset is so light that it's easy to forget that you even have the BM-10 on your head! The ear pads are replaceable acoustic foam.
• The BM-10 is available in three versions: the BM-10 4 is supplied with the HC-4 "DX Dream Machine" element, with an aggressive low-frequency cut-off and high emphasis at 2000 Hz, for excellent pile-up "punch."
• An adapter cable is required for interfacing to your transceiver. The Heil Sound AD-1 Series of adapter cables will mate with the plugs on the BM-10 cable; contact your Heil Sound dealer for the exact model number of the appropriate cable. For Icom rigs (only), the AD-1 iC will mate with the 8-pin (round) Mic jack on most Icom base rigs. A ¼" phone plug provides the interface to your rig's Headphone jack, while a ¼" in-line phone jack allows interconnection to a footswitch like the Heil FS-2, or a hand switch (such as the Heil HS-2).
